Potato Pancakes

 


Easy and tasty, very good for summer dinner.

Ingredients

  • 6 potato
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 egg
  • 3 garlic clove
  • 1 tsp dried marjoram
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 6 tbs plain flour
  • 1 tbs vegetable oil

Method
  1. Wash and peel the potatoes before grating.
  2. Add the milk, to stop potatoes turning black.
  3. Mash the garlic with salt and add to the potateos.
  4. Mix in the marjoram, pepper, eggs and flour.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan and make the pancakes. Fry slowly to have the pancakes well done, and cooked through.
NOTES
The potato pancakes are usually eaten alone, but you can serve them also as a side dish (in such case make them smaller). If you like you can try to add minced fryed, grilled or roast chiken or pork, some sausage or vegetables to the mixture.
